Method Four phases of the MEDIDIET 2nd phase of the MEDIDIET® diet

2nd phase of the MEDIDIET® protein diet

BACK TO ONE REAL” PROTEIN-RICH FOOD, SO 3 PROTEINS + 1 REAL FOOD FROM THE LIST + VEGETABLE FROM THE LIST.

CONTINUATION PHASE AFTER PHASE 1 OR THE INITIAL PHASE OF THE REDUCTION PROGRAM FOR SMALLER REDUCTIONS.

  • The second phase is a necessary stage in the MEDIDIET® weight loss program.
  • It is simple, safe, and very well tolerated. It should last twice as long as the previous phase.
  • Depending on your goal and your advisor's recommendations, you can stick with it for many weeks to months

In practice, three situations can arise:

  • Phase 2 begins after Phase 1
It is the first step to return to "normal" eating by replacing one MEDIDIET® protein meal with one "real" meal, while the side dish is still only allowed vegetables.
  • Phase 2 is used to bridge the time space between the two Phase 1s
Used in this way, the consultant can recommend it for "rest" for clients who need to reduce many tens of kilograms and have already been in the first phase for several weeks (months), or for clients whose work or social obligations do not allow them to stay in the 1st phase continuously.
  • Phase 2 is the opening phase of your reduction treatment
For clients with smaller reductions, we start the MEDIDIET® reduction program up to phase number 2.

EXAMPLE OF A TYPICAL DAY PHASE 2 OF THE MEDIDIET® PROTEIN DIET

BREAKFAST

Unsweetened drinks (water, black tea, herbal tea, weaker coffee or coffee substitute), sweetening can be done with stevia or substitute ("artificial") sweeteners

1 MEDIDIET® protein meal

LUNCH

1 real meal (to be chosen from the list below)

Allowed vegetables (to choose from the list that was given in the description of Phase 1)

AFTERNOON SNACK

a large glass of mineral water or tea

1 MEDIDIET® protein meal

DINNER

1 MEDIDIET® protein meal

allowed vegetables (to be chosen from the list that was given in the description of Phase 1)

Even in Phase 2, if your starting weight is higher, then you can eat one extra MEDIDIET® protein meal during the day.

Important note:  Lunch can be interchanged with dinner, so you can have a protein meal at noon and a "real" one at night, or vice versa. It can also be alternated at will.

ALLOWED TYPES OF ANIMAL AND VEGETABLE PROTEINS FOR PHASE 2

(150g portion, unless otherwise stated in parentheses)

  • 1 organic egg (hard-boiled or soft-boiled)
  • Amur (100 g)
  • Perch (100 g)
  • Sea bream (100 g)
  • Halibut
  • Leg of lamb or mutton (100 g)
  • Chicken or duck liver (100 g)
  • Skinless chicken, turkey, or rabbit meat
  • Lean or diet ("low fat") ham (100 g)
  • Flax (100 g)
  • Monkfish
  • Sea wolf
  • Perch (100 g)
  • Olomouc cheese curds
  • Pangas
  • Sea bream
  • Natural veal steak (well done) - 100 g
  • Trout
  • Sushi (100 g)
  • Tofu (natural, with seaweed, smoked,…)
  • Tolstolobik (100 g)
  • Cod (100 g)
  • Eel (100 g)
  • Shark

In the 2nd phase, all types of excessively fatty (or excessively caloric) types of meat (salmon, tuna, mackerel, pike, carp, seafood, pork, beef, veal, duck, etc.) are excluded from the diet.

Don't forget to drink a lot!

OUR ADVICE: Take advantage of the diet period and learn to eat fish regularly. Stick to the rule that the lighter the meat is in its raw state, the more beneficial it is for the body and also more digestible. Discover the world of tofu, and visit a vegetarian or vegan restaurant!

PREPARATION OF "REAL" FOOD

  • The best form of meat preparation is marinating.
  • Real food (meat, tofu, etc.) can also be fried in a pan with a few drops of good-quality oil.

INTRODUCING PROTEIN BARS INTO THE MENU

We carefully introduce "non-first-phase" MEDIDIET® protein bars into the diet, as a replacement for one MEDIDIET® protein meal, if possible only in the second half of the 2nd phase.

WHEN TO START PHYSICAL ACTIVITY?

Starting from the second half of the second phase, i.e. at the moment of introducing protein bars into the diet, it is highly desirable to enrich the MEDIDIET® dietary protein program with regular physical activity (at least 1 hour 2-3 times a week). The following types are suitable: Running, cycling (spinning), pilates, swimming, body strengthening, etc. We are interested in all types of so-called aerobic activity, i.e. those that make you sweat and out of breath (chess, yoga, downhill skiing, or golf, these certainly do not meet the requirements!).

THE MOST COMMON MISTAKES IN THE SECOND PHASE

  • A kind of "automatic" introduction of side dishes to the allowed "real" food (only vegetables cooked in water or steam are still allowed, not potatoes, rice, or even dumplings!).
  • Insufficient supply of instant protein for satiety.
  • The introduction of baked goods into the menu (still not allowed in the 2nd phase!). On the other hand, you can use MEDIDIET® protein bread as a side dish (for a salad or a real meal, max. 2 slices once a day).
  • Non-compliance with the drinking regimen (in the second phase, it is still necessary to drink at least 1.5 l of fluids per day).
  • Failure to follow guidelines to establish regular physical activity.
  • Too fast to introduce all protein bars into the diet for their "convenience and taste”.
  • Sweetening drinks with sugar (you still need to use stevia or a substitute sweetener for diabetics).

SUMMARY OF PHASE 2

It's simple: the 2nd phase can be characterized as follows for most clients:

  • 3 MEDIDIET® protein products (2 sweet + 1 salty /or vice versa/, if a bar, then one suitable for the first phase, this restriction is lifted only in the second half of the 2nd phase) plus
  • 1 real food from the list (the side dish is a salad from permitted species) vegetables or MEDIDIET® protein bread) plus permitted types of vegetables in unlimited quantities (1 x per day seasoned with a tablespoon of high-quality vegetable oil) plus
  • plenty of fluids (at least 2 liters per day).

AND WHAT FOLLOWS PHASE 2?

Phase 2 is followed by Phase number 3, which must again take 2x longer than phase 2.
