1st phase of the MEDIDIET® protein diet

REPLACEMENT OF 4 REAL MEALS WITH 4 PROTEIN MEALS + VEGETABLES FROM THE LIST. INDICATIONS: GREAT REDUCTIONS IN OTHERWISE HEALTHY PEOPLE.

This phase is the most effective in body weight reduction and begins with the therapist setting a reasonable GOAL with the client, i.e. what weight they want to reach with the client in the first phase.

 

EXAMPLE OF A TYPICAL DAY PHASE 1 OF THE MEDIDIET® PROTEIN DIET

BREAKFAST

Unsweetened drinks (water, black tea, herbal tea, weaker coffee or coffee substitute), sweetening can be done with stevia or substitute ("artificial") sweeteners

LUNCH

a large glass of mineral water or tea

If your starting weight is more than 80 kg, then with the approval of the consultant, you can eat one more MEDIDIET® protein meal during the day.

Allowed types of vegetables can be eaten not only with lunch and evening protein meals but also at any time during the day.

Keep in mind that you need to regularly drink a sufficient amount of fluids (tea, coffee, unsweetened mineral water /preferably non-sparkling or only slightly sparkling/) in the amount of at least 2 liters per day!

 

ALLOWED TYPES OF VEGETABLES FOR THE WHOLE OF PHASE 1 AND THE FIRST HALF OF PHASE 2

During the 1st phase and the first half of the 2nd phase of the Medidiet® protein diet, you can only eat these types of vegetables.

  • Artichoke
  • Eggplant
  • Broccoli
  • Celery stalk
  • Zucchini
  • Chicory
  • Green beans
  • Fennel
  • Mushrooms - champignons, shiitake, oyster mushrooms, and other types of edible mushrooms
  • Asparagus
  • Cauliflower
  • Cabbage (also Brussels sprouts)
  • Aubergine (eggplant)
  • Cucumber
  • Bugle
  • Leek
  • Arugula
  • Radish white
  • Classic radish
  • Watercress
  • Lettuce and all other types of green salads
  • Soy and other sprouts (grain sprouts, sprouted mango, lentils, etc.)
  • Spinach
  • Gourd
  • Cabbage and Chinese cabbage (pickled only if not sweetened)

We eat vegetables either raw in the form of a salad, flavored with 1 tablespoon of high-quality edible oil (oil only once a day), or steamed or stewed in water.

Virtually all types of dried spices, lemon juice, dried onions, garlic, or vinegar can be used to season vegetables. However, all kinds of ready-made toppings (yogurt, herb, barbecue, etc.) are not suitable, as well as mustard.

In the first two phases of the protein diet, add salt as you like* (rather more than less).

OUR ADVICE: Enrich your salad with two hard-boiled eggs, but you can only use the whites! They have a filling effect, so you won't be hungry even after a salad!

ABSOLUTELY AVOID

All other foods, even if they appear to be "diet", especially all types of bread, crackers, cereals, fruit, fruit juices, all types of starches (potatoes, rice, legumes), cheeses and yogurts, alcohol (including beer and wine), unauthorized types of vegetables, etc.

Carbohydrate intake is strictly limited, for sweetening you can use a substitute sweetener for diabetics (for example, aspartame) or a vegetable sweetener with stevia.

So you will never fumble when choosing food. It is this clarity that makes the MEDIDIET® protein diet the easiest method to reduce body weight.

Your consultant will suggest the necessary duration of this first phase, taking into account the set goal and the number of kilograms you need to lose. It usually ranges between 10 and 30 days.

 

PREPARATION OF INSTANT MEALS ("BAGS")

Sweet "DESSERTS" flavors are prepared using a shaker, whisk, or blender by adding cold water to the instant powder from the MEDIDIET® sachet. Depending on the amount of liquid added, we get either the consistency of a cream or a drink. We let the fruit flavors "rest" for 10 minutes before consumption. In the summer, you can put them in the fridge and then consume them like classic yogurt.

Sweet-flavored "HOT DRINKS" are prepared using a shaker, whisk, or blender by adding warm (but not boiling) water.

Savory "SOUP" flavors are made using a shaker or whisk by adding warm (but not boiling) water. They are consumed immediately after preparation. You can flavor them with all types of spices and aromatic herbs of your choice.

Dough for omelets and pancakes is prepared by adding the specified amount of cold water and then mixing with a shaker, whisk, or mixer. They are prepared by frying in a pan, in a few drops of olive oil, like classic omelets and pancakes.

When preparing all types of MEDIDIET® food, follow the exact amount of water indicated for the specific food! Do not add water "by eye"!

 

THE MOST COMMON MISTAKES IN THE FIRST STAGE

  • Failure to observe the ratio between sweet and salty flavors.
  • Insufficient supply of instant protein due to the feeling of satiety ("I only needed three bags a day and I wasn't hungry at all!”).
  • Introduction of unsuitable bars into the menu (in the 1st phase, only bars suitable for the 1st phase can be consumed as one sweet meal).
  • Non-compliance with the drinking regime (in the first phase, you need to drink at least 2 liters of fluids per day).
  • Sweetening drinks with sugar or honey (you need to use stevia, aspartame, or another substitute sweetener)
  • Alcohol consumption (complete abstinence is necessary for the first phase, 1 glass of quality wine is allowed only from the 3rd phase!).

 

SUMMARY OF PHASE 1

It's simple: Phase 1 can be characterized as follows for most clients:

  • 4 MEDIDIET® protein preparations (2 sweet + 2 salty, if a bar, then suitable for the first phase) plus
  • allowed types of vegetables in unlimited quantities (1 x per day seasoned with a tablespoon of high-quality vegetable oil) plus
  • plenty of fluids (at least 2 liters a day) plus

 

AND WHAT FOLLOWS AFTER PHASE 1?

Phase 1 is followed by Phase number 2, which must last twice as long as Phase 1.
